Technical Sales Manager

Job Overview:
The Technical Sales Manager will be responsible for acting as the principal liaison between customers, operations, and the Armor Commercial team at all Armor-producing plants. The primary focus includes validating technical offers, overcoming technical challenges in manufacturing, and supporting product developments. Additionally, the role involves managing commercial responsibilities for a set of Armor customers, marketing and selling armor products for various applications, and ensuring successful representation of the company's Armor manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Serve as the main point of contact between customers, operations, and the Armor Commercial team.
  2. Validate technical offers and address manufacturing challenges.
  3. Support product developments and engage with customers on technical inquiries.
  4. Directly manage commercial responsibilities for a defined set of Armor customers.
  5. Market and sell armor products for diverse applications including personal, vehicular, air, maritime, and stationary objects.
  6. Stay updated on industry innovations, customer systems, and future growth strategies to identify sales opportunities.
  7. Manage key programs awarded to successful completion, acting as the interface between customers and internal operations.
  8. Track and report on customer orders and requirements.
  9. Collaborate with engineering, customer service, R&D, and operations teams as the Armor Commercial interface/liaison.
  10. Provide technical support and troubleshooting to customers, marketing, production, and customer service teams.
  11. Prepare quotes, proposals, and actively engage in customer visits as part of the Armor commercial team.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Materials, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in manufacturing, with a preference for experience in Ceramics.
  • Extensive knowledge of material processing gained through hands-on experience, specific training, and formal education.
  • Experience in communicating technical information effectively with customers.

Additional Information:

  • The role will require frequent visits to customers as well as hosting visits as part of the Armor commercial team.
