Overview:

A leading national provider of healthcare support services is seeking a seasoned Director of Clinical Engineering to oversee biomedical operations at a major healthcare system in Zanesville, Ohio. This leadership role is ideal for a senior HTM professional with strong operational, regulatory, and strategic experience, who thrives in a hands-on, people-first environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead all aspects of the Clinical Engineering program, ensuring effective medical equipment management and service delivery.

• Direct and mentor a team of supervisors and biomedical technicians, promoting professional development and performance excellence.

• Drive process improvements that enhance regulatory compliance, service efficiency, and patient safety.

• Collaborate with hospital leadership and clinical stakeholders to align biomedical services with organizational goals.

• Ensure full compliance with healthcare regulations, including CIHQ, DNV, and Joint Commission (JCAHO) standards.

• Oversee capital planning, vendor negotiations, contract management, and budget adherence.

• Represent HTM services in executive meetings, strategy sessions, and cross-functional initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Biomedical Engineering, Clinical Engineering, or related field.

• Minimum 5 years of experience managing biomedical services within a large healthcare system.

• Demonstrated experience working directly with hospital executives or C-suite leadership to align HTM strategies with organizational priorities.

• Strong working knowledge of CIHQ, DNV, and Joint Commission (JCAHO) compliance standards.

• Proven track record of leading high-performing clinical engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications such as CBET or CHTM.

• Experience managing multi-site healthcare technology programs.

• Expertise in capital planning, project management, and equipment lifecycle strategies.
