About the Role

Our client, a national leader in contract food and facilities services, is looking for a General Manager to run food service operations at a large, multi-site account in Nashville. You will oversee daily operations and make sure every location delivers great quality, runs efficiently and keeps customers happy. You will lead and develop your team, own the financial results and build strong relationships with the client and the people you serve.

This is a true leadership role. You will manage people, set direction and deploy resources, including performance reviews, pay reviews and hiring decisions. Results come mainly through the work of your team, so your ability to influence and negotiate across the organization matters. You may also manage dotted-line or matrixed teams. The role is eligible for an incentive plan in addition to base pay.

What You'll Do

  • Lead daily food service operations across multiple sites, with high standards for quality, safety and service
  • Hire, coach and develop managers and frontline staff, and build a positive team culture that keeps good people
  • Own the account's financial performance, including budgeting, cost control and performance analysis
  • Hit financial goals and performance targets while improving how service is delivered
  • Build strong partnerships with the client and customers that improve service and loyalty
  • Work across departments to bring new ideas and improve operations
  • Run a large, fast-paced food service operation with a hands-on, results-driven approach

What You Bring

  • Proven experience in food service management or directorship, ideally in large or complex settings such as contract dining, healthcare, higher education or corporate dining
  • Experience managing a multi-site account
  • 2-5 years of management experience and 2-5 years of related food service experience
  • A track record of building positive team culture, retaining employees and developing staff
  • Strong financial skills, including budgeting, cost control and P&L analysis
  • A hands-on, results-oriented style that motivates teams in a fast-paced setting
  • Clear communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to keep strong client relationships

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

What We Offer

  • Medical, dental, vision and wellness programs
  • 401(k) plan with matching contributions
  • Paid time off and company holidays
  • Career growth opportunities and tuition reimbursement
  • Incentive plan eligibility
  • Relocation assistance

Our client values diversity and encourages you to apply even if your background doesn't match every item above.
