Quality Inspector

About the Role
An aerospace and precision manufacturing company in Rockaway, NJ is hiring a Quality Inspector. You’ll inspect CNC-machined components and assemblies at every stage of production, making sure every part meets the drawing before it ships. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in accuracy and knows their way around a FaroArm.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform incoming, in-process and final inspections of components and assemblies
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints and specifications
  • Run dimensional inspections using FaroArm CMM equipment and PolyWorks software
  • Use calipers, micrometers, thread gauges and other precision measuring tools
  • Document inspection results and keep accurate quality records
  • Enter inspection data into Excel and other quality tracking systems
  • Identify, tag and report non-conforming material and product
  • Support calibration activities and maintain calibration records
  • Work with production and engineering to resolve quality issues
  • Take part in continuous improvement and quality initiatives

Must Haves

  • 2+ years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Hands-on experience with FaroArm CMM equipment
  • Experience using PolyWorks inspection software
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
  • Experience with calipers, micrometers, thread gauges or similar precision instruments
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and accurate record keeping
  • High school diploma or GED

Nice to Have

  • CMM inspection and First Article Inspection (FAI) experience
  • Background in aerospace, defense, government contracting or precision manufacturing
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality standards
  • Experience inspecting CNC-machined parts and assemblies
  • Knowledge of calibration systems and quality documentation
  • Root cause analysis and corrective action experience

Location: On site in Rockaway, NJ. Relocation assistance is not available. Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
