Overview

A leading organization in the healthcare services sector is seeking an experienced Environmental Services / Custodial Operations Manager to oversee housekeeping operations within a hospital environment. This role is responsible for leading teams, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety, and driving patient and client satisfaction.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong operational experience in environmental services, custodial management, or housekeeping within healthcare or hospitality settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily environmental services and custodial operations
• Ensure a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients, staff, and visitors
• Lead, train, and develop a team of frontline staff and supervisors
• Drive patient and client satisfaction through service excellence
• Collaborate with infection control and safety teams to ensure compliance with all standards
• Monitor performance metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives
• Manage schedules, staffing levels, and workflow efficiency
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and organizational policies
• Lead departmental projects and meet established timelines
• Utilize operational systems and technology to track performance and reporting

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience required
• Minimum of 2 years of management or supervisory experience
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in housekeeping, environmental services, or custodial operations
• Experience in healthcare, hospital, or hospitality environments preferred
• Strong leadership and team development skills
• Proven ability to manage projects and meet deadlines
• Customer service and client satisfaction focus
• Ability to work independently and drive results
• Proficiency with computers and operational systems

Additional Requirements

• Must be able to work on-site in Grand Forks, ND
• Must be available to work a second shift schedule (10:00 AM – 6:00 PM)
