Director, Healthcare Technology Management (HTM) / Clinical Engineering

About the Role

A leading healthcare organization is seeking a Director of Healthcare Technology Management (HTM) / Clinical Engineering to oversee operations across a large, multi-site health system. This role serves as the senior leader responsible for client relationships, operational performance, financial oversight, and strategic growth across multiple hospital locations.

This is a high-impact leadership position requiring strong business acumen, executive presence, and deep experience in healthcare technology management within complex hospital environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead healthcare technology management operations across multiple hospital sites within a large health system

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for senior client stakeholders and executive leadership

  • Develop and execute strategies to drive operational performance and business growth

  • Oversee budget management, financial performance, and risk assessment across the region

  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team, including succession planning and leadership development

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures

  • Maintain consistent service delivery standards that are predictable, reliable, and repeatable

  • Strengthen client relationships through effective governance and communication

  • Promote a safe work environment by enforcing safety programs and recommending improvements

  • Support initiatives related to cybersecurity and protection of healthcare technology systems

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • 7+ years of management experience

  • 7+ years of experience in healthcare technology management or clinical engineering

  • Experience supporting a large, multi-site hospital or health system environment

  • Strong leadership experience managing teams across multiple locations

  • Proven ability to manage budgets, financial performance, and operational outcomes

  • Experience working directly with executive-level stakeholders or clients

  • Strong communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills

  • Working knowledge of regulatory compliance in healthcare environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading regional or system-wide healthcare technology programs

  • Background working with large healthcare systems or academic medical centers

  • Familiarity with cybersecurity considerations in healthcare technology environments
