Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Construction Analyst to support financial operations for large construction projects. This role is responsible for coordinating field accounting activities, supporting construction accounting personnel, and ensuring accurate financial reporting and reconciliation throughout the lifecycle of construction projects.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in construction project accounting, cost tracking, invoicing, and financial reporting within construction or capital project environments. This role requires strong collaboration with project teams, materials management, and internal stakeholders to support project execution and financial accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate field construction accounting and materials management activities for multiple construction projects
- Provide support and oversight to construction accountants and materials specialists assigned to project sites
- Track and manage invoicing for third-party personnel and contract resources
- Support the administration of temporary construction offices and project-related equipment
- Generate and maintain financial reporting related to project costs, materials, and accounting activities
- Collaborate with project teams and business partners to reconcile project materials receipts and financial records
- Assist with construction project closeout activities including reconciliation and financial reporting
- Identify and resolve accounting or operational issues related to project financial management
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support construction project operations
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Construction Management, or a related field
- Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in accounting, administrative operations, invoicing, or financial analysis supporting construction or capital projects
- Strong knowledge of construction project accounting and cost tracking
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and support field operations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting large construction or capital infrastructure projects
- Fifteen (15) or more years of experience in construction accounting or project financial management
- Experience with project and accounting systems such as Oracle, PowerPlant, or Procore
- Experience supporting field accounting teams on active construction projects
