Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer III to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of electrical systems supporting critical infrastructure, including pipelines, compressor stations, and storage facilities. This role plays a key part in ensuring operational reliability, safety, and regulatory compliance while integrating advanced technologies such as automation, real-time monitoring, and energy storage solutions.
The Electrical Engineer will manage projects from concept through completion, align engineering solutions with business objectives, and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver high-quality infrastructure improvements.
Tulsa, OK: Open to entry-level through Level III candidates.
Houston, TX: Requires Level III experience or higher.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design and optimization of power distribution systems and electrical infrastructure supporting industrial facilities
Develop electrical schematics, system layouts, and design documentation for new construction and upgrades
Implement arc flash mitigation strategies and fault detection systems to enhance safety and reliability
Review and ensure compliance with applicable electrical design codes and industry standards (NEC, NEMA, API, IEEE, etc.)
Integrate automation systems, PLCs, and HMI solutions where applicable
Provide technical expertise in power generation and controls systems
Manage engineering projects from conceptual design through commissioning, ensuring adherence to schedule and budget
Collaborate with operations, project management, and cross-functional stakeholders
Support and mentor junior engineers (Level III expectation)
Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
Minimum 5 years of relevant engineering experience (Houston location requires Level III experience; Tulsa open to junior levels)
Experience in power distribution and industrial electrical systems
Working knowledge of electrical design codes including NEC, NEMA, API, and IEEE
Experience reviewing arc flash studies and implementing improvements
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
Professional Engineer (PE) License
Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
Experience in natural gas, oil & gas, data centers, or related industrial environments
Power generation and controls experience
Experience with PLC and HMI systems
Project management experience
Experience in Pre-FEED, FEED, or EPC project phases
Experience designing and implementing instrumentation systems
