Lumber Sales Representative

Belchertown, MA

Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire

Overview:
We are seeking a results-driven Sales Representative with experience in customer-facing retail, building materials, or home improvement environments. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, the ability to manage multiple client relationships, and a proven record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage customers to identify needs and recommend appropriate products or services

  • Maintain strong product knowledge across assigned categories

  • Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing clients

  • Manage quotes, orders, and follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction

  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely fulfillment of customer orders

  • Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets

  • Contribute to a positive team environment and uphold company standards

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of sales experience (inside, outside, or retail)

  • Knowledge of building materials or home improvement products preferred

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems

  • Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rate plus commission potential. Benefits available after transition to permanent employment.

Schedule:
Monday to Friday, standard business hours.
