Summary:
The Maintenance Technician ensures reliable operation of manufacturing and facility systems by performing preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on equipment and infrastructure. This role requires multi-trade skills in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to minimize downtime and support safe, efficient production.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance on production and facility systems according to CMMS schedules.
Fabricate, install, and repair pipe, conduit, and other components using threading and bending tools.
Inspect and troubleshoot motors, pumps, valves, conveyors, and control panels.
Support equipment installation, commissioning, and layout modifications.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and update CMMS.
Adhere to all safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout and PPE compliance.
Assist with building and facility repairs (plumbing, carpentry, basic HVAC).
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve reliability and performance.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or technical certificate in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or equivalent experience.
3+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in manufacturing, utilities, or facilities.
Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical systems (480V, 3-phase), pneumatics, and hydraulics.
Ability to bend conduit, thread pipe, and read mechanical/electrical schematics.
Working knowledge of PLC and VFD operation preferred.
Familiarity with CMMS software and preventive maintenance best practices.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights and in confined spaces as required.
Availability for shift rotation, overtime, or weekend work as needed.
Preferred Backgrounds:
Manufacturing sectors such as plastics, metal fabrication, food/beverage, or medical devices.
Military technical specialties (Navy EM/ET/MM, Army 91D/91E, or equivalent).
Journeyman-level trades experience or completion of technical apprenticeship.
