About the Role
We are seeking an experienced, service-minded Director of Facilities Operations to oversee a large, multi-building campus known for its excellence, community, and long-term vision. This role is ideal for a leader who takes pride in building environments where people can thrive—someone who can balance technical expertise, strategic planning, and hands-on leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Lead a team of more than 25 facilities and custodial professionals to ensure smooth, efficient, and safe daily operations.
Oversee all building systems across multiple properties, including academic, residential, and athletic spaces.
Manage comprehensive maintenance programs, including preventive and predictive maintenance, energy efficiency, and safety compliance.
Direct operating budgets, capital projects, and long-term facilities planning to meet organizational goals.
Build strong partnerships with campus stakeholders to align facilities strategy with community priorities.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, ADA, EPA, and local/state building codes.
Optimize performance through Building Automation Systems (Trane preferred) and MEP system oversight.
Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and service excellence within all facilities operations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of five years of integrated facilities management (IFM) leadership experience.
Demonstrated success managing complex, campus-style environments.
Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing facilities teams.
Strong understanding of BAS, HVAC, MEP, and building systems maintenance.
Excellent communication and leadership skills with a collaborative, solutions-focused mindset.
Commitment to safety, sustainability, and operational excellence.
Preferred Attributes
Experience managing facilities for schools, universities, or residential campuses.
History of developing energy conservation or sustainability programs.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
