Position Overview

The Production Supervisor organizes and directs work on the processing floor to meet production schedules. This role ensures the hourly workforce operates in compliance with food safety, plant safety, quality, productivity, and cleanliness standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and direct production staff to achieve goals in yield, efficiency, uptime, and labor cost.

• Ensure compliance with product quality and food safety standards.

• Direct hourly associates in risk management and safety practices to protect employees and minimize organizational liability.

• Support employee engagement through training, placement, and performance coaching.

• Collaborate with leadership on process improvements, product development, and operational initiatives.

• Assist in developing training programs that support organizational goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.

• Minimum of 3 years of progressive supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment (food industry preferred).

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

• Proven ability to manage labor costs, efficiency, and safety compliance.

• Comfortable working in refrigerated and freezer environments with exposure to loud machinery.

Work Environment

 

• Fast-paced food production facility.

• Frequent work near moving mechanical parts.

• Significant time in cold environments, including freezers.
