Position Overview
An established healthcare technology management team is seeking a skilled Imaging Service Engineer II to support a major hospital system in the Philadelphia region. This role involves hands-on maintenance, repair, and calibration of advanced diagnostic imaging equipment in a dynamic clinical environment.
The successful candidate will bring strong technical skills, a proactive service mindset, and the ability to work independently with clinical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate a wide range of diagnostic imaging equipment (including Cath Lab, C-Arms, and Ultrasound devices).
Ensure equipment meets operational and regulatory compliance standards.
Provide responsive on-site support to clinical users and healthcare teams.
Maintain accurate service documentation and reports.
Manage parts ordering and service expenses for assigned equipment.
Participate in a safety-first culture and foster strong client relationships.
Mentor and support junior team members as needed.
Qualifications
Associate’s degree in electronics, biomedical engineering, or a related field — or equivalent military / professional experience.
Minimum of 5 years experience servicing diagnostic imaging equipment in a healthcare or hospital environment.
Strong expertise in Cath Lab systems, C-Arms, and Ultrasound devices (required).
Proven ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex imaging devices.
Knowledge of applicable regulatory standards for medical equipment (e.g. Joint Commission, NFPA).
Excellent communication, documentation, and customer service skills.
Preferred Experience
Formal OEM training on major imaging platforms (GE, Siemens, Philips, Canon, etc.).
Experience supporting additional imaging modalities (CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine).
Prior experience working in a large hospital or health system environment.
