We are seeking a hands-on Machine Shop Supervisor to lead and develop a team of CNC machinists in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a critical leadership role for someone who thrives on optimizing production processes, mentoring team members, and ensuring quality and efficiency across both CNC milling and lathe operations.
This is an onsite, second-shift position with opportunity for growth and leadership within a stable, well-established organization.
Supervise and coordinate daily machine shop operations
Lead a team of CNC machinists to meet production goals, quality standards, and deadlines
Set up and operate CNC milling and lathe machines as needed
Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure manufacturability and continuous improvement
Monitor staffing levels, workflow, and resource allocation
Enforce workplace safety and operational best practices
Troubleshoot machining issues and contribute to process optimization
High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in CNC machining preferred
3+ years of CNC programming experience (FeatureCam preferred)
Strong working knowledge of Fanuc machine controls
Skilled in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and blueprints
Ability to lead, coach, and train a team in a production environment
Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working in a physically active role
Willingness to work overtime as needed
