About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Post Surgical Services & Neuroscience Unit to lead two critical departments within a reputable acute care hospital. This senior-level role is ideal for a Registered Nurse leader with a proven track record in acute care settings who thrives in managing multidisciplinary teams and driving patient-centered outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee operations of the Post-Surgical and Neuroscience Units
• Ensure delivery of high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care
• Manage staffing, training, and development of clinical staff
• Lead performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
• Develop departmental goals, budgets, policies, and procedures
• Provide clinical leadership, mentorship, and foster professional growth
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and accreditation standards
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote a culture of excellence
• Participate in recruitment and retention efforts for nursing personnel
• Serve as a key member of the leadership team, reporting directly to the CNO
Qualifications:
✅ Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university (BSN preferred)
✅ Master’s Degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration is highly preferred
✅ Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina (or compact state license)
✅ Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
✅ Healthcare Certified Safety Supervisor (HCSS) certification preferred
✅ Minimum 5 years of RN experience in an acute care hospital
✅ Minimum 8 years of management and leadership experience preferred
✅ Proven leadership skills and ability to manage complex hospital operations
✅ Strong communication and interpersonal skills
