Position Summary: A Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of manufacturing processes. This role ensures the production of restroom trailers and related products is carried out safely, effectively, and efficiently, while also introducing cost-saving initiatives and maintaining quality standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, implement, and test current and new product lines.
- Analyze existing systems and processes to identify value-added and non-value-added activities to address design challenges.
- Identify opportunities to prevent waste and inefficiencies during production.
- Manage engineering projects efficiently throughout their lifecycle.
- Apply engineering principles and methods to ensure the safety, reliability, efficiency, and quality of products.
- Prepare and review technical specifications, drawings, calculations, reports, and associated documentation.
- Collaborate with engineers, managers, production workers, and external personnel to design and implement new systems and processes, providing technical support and guidance.
- Investigate and troubleshoot system failures, defects, malfunctions, or complaints.
- Conduct comprehensive testing and validation of designs to meet reliability, performance, quality, and safety standards.
- Research and analyze new technologies to innovate and design new solutions or products.
- Comply with applicable codes, standards, regulations, and policies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in vehicle and/or trailer design.
- Certifications: Knowledge of SolidWorks and Lean Six Sigma is advantageous.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks), electrical systems, and experience with MS Office. Familiarity with Sage X is preferred.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an aptitude for developing innovative solutions.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly convey complex technical information.

Physical Demands:

MUST HAVE:
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in vehicle and/or trailer design.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and experience in electrical systems.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office.
- Comprehensive experience in all aspects of design and documentation.
